ADI General Trading LLC supplies landscape materials across the Emirates. What sits behind that supply is twenty years of delivering landscape on sites where getting it wrong was not an option: an operating international airport, manufacturing campuses, and residential terraces where a leak costs more than the garden.

Where it comes from

Twenty years of hard sites.

The team that founded ADI built its record in India from 2009 onward, on landscape at infrastructure scale.

An operating international airport, where every plant selection was tested against wildlife hazard and every hour of work was scheduled around aircraft movements. A five to ten kilometre approach corridor maintained under live traffic. More than 25,000 trees and palms transplanted, with survival assessed at 12 and 24 months rather than claimed on the day. A Miyawaki afforestation block trialled on that same airport campus, which closed canopy quickly and then stopped needing us. And a roof garden programme running since 2009 on residential terraces designed to carry real trees.

In the UAE today ADI supplies coco peat in low, mid and high EC grades, trees, palms and plants, and imported granite and landscape stone — and more besides, against a schedule.

The transplantation, afforestation and roof garden expertise comes with it. If you are moving a tree, planting a dense native block or building a terrace landscape, you can use the method as well as the material. We would rather be the supplier who told you the ball needed to be a metre wider than the one who sold you the medium and walked away.

The vision

The UAE has a green ambition. It needs people who can execute it.

The country has set out to plant at national scale. That ambition needs three unglamorous things: growing media that does not fail in a hot, saline, low-organic-matter context; trees that survive being moved rather than being replaced; and dense native planting that stops needing irrigation instead of needing it forever.

Those are the three things we know how to do. Our intention is to take the afforestation method that worked on an Indian airport campus and prove it here, on Emirati ground, with an Emirati species palette and an honest water plan. That is the work we came to do.
